Where Passion, Work, and Imagination Meet
I work for the Royal Canadian Navy, at a training unit on the West coast called HMCS Venture.
I'm part of the Design, Development & Evaluation division, and I work within an R&D team.
We're small, but mighty.
One of the things we do is leverage Innovative Solutions Canada to work with cutting-edge Canadian businesses to test and evaluate their products to see if they could be a good fit for training.
Not every test is a home run-style success, but the lessons learned are always valuable for everyone involved.
My team also attends a lot of public-facing events - we have some very cool equipment that we bring along to let everyone experience AR, VR, 3D printing, and more. These events are one of the things I love the most about the work I do.
